The festival is part of the project Bird Tourism in Jæren, a collaboration between Edge of Norway, Jæren Friluftsråd, BirdLife Norway, Rogaland County Municipality, and the municipalities of Randaberg, Sola, Klepp, Time, and Hå. As part of the project, an overview of 19 accessible birdwatching spots has been created in the municipalities of Randaberg, Sola, Klepp, Time, and Hå.
