It is a great arena for practicing Norwegian, building networks, getting to know other cultures, and having fun. All women, regardless of age or background, are warmly welcome to join our activities. The Women's Group meets every other Tuesday between 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM. We meet at Sola Kulturhus, and the program is free for everyone. Feel free to bring a friend or two along.
Activity schedule autumn 2026
August 11: Welcome everyone. Overview of local events. We are creating our recipe booklet. (Sola Kulturhus, 1 PM – 3 PM).
August 25: Walk and Talk. A walk in the local area followed by a visit to a local café. (In collaboration with Sola Turlag, 1 PM – 3 PM).
September 3: Film screening. (Sola Kulturhus, Intimscenen, 1 PM – 3:10 PM).
September 8: SIK turns 2 years old. (Sola Kulturhus, Exhibition Hall, 1 PM – 3 PM).
September 22: Health talk: First aid course hosted by Sola Red Cross. (Sola Kulturhus, Exhibition Hall, 1 PM – 3 PM).
October 6: Topic: Integration into Norwegian society - my story. (Sola Kulturhus, 1 PM – 3 PM).
October 20: Health talk: Women's health and menopause. With midwife Elsa Sagen Høyvik. (Sola Kulturhus, 1 PM – 3 PM).
October 22: Film screening (Sola Kulturhus, Intimscenen, 1 PM – 3:05 PM).
November 3: Theme: Cultural exchange - learning about Sri Lanka. (Sola Culture House, 1 PM - 3 PM).
November 17: Health talk: Food and culture - mini cooking class with lentils and beans. (Sola Culture House, 1 PM - 3 PM).
December 1: Christmas workshop. (Sola Culture House, 1 PM - 3 PM).
December 15: Closing party. (Sola Culture House, 1 PM - 3 PM).
