The women’s group is an open, multicultural meeting place where inclusion and well-being for women of all ages is the main focus. It is a great arena for practicing Norwegian, building networks, getting to know other cultures, and having fun. All women, regardless of age or background, are welcome to join our activities.
Activity schedule autumn 2026
August 11: Welcome to everyone. Overview of local events. We will be creating our recipe booklet. (Sola Culture House, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM).
August 25: Walk and Talk. A walk in the local area followed by a café visit. (In collaboration with Sola Hiking Association, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM).
September 3: Film screening. (Sola Culture House, Intimscenen, 1:00 PM – 3:10 PM).
September 8: SIK turns 2 years old. (Sola Culture House, Exhibition Hall, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM).
September 22: Health talk: First aid course hosted by Sola Red Cross. (Sola Culture House, Exhibition Hall, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM).
October 6: Theme: Integration into Norwegian society - my story. (Sola Culture House, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM).
October 20: Health talk: Women's health and menopause. With midwife Elsa Sagen Høyvik. (Sola Culture House, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM).
October 22: Film screening (Sola kulturhus, Intimscenen 1:00 PM - 3:05 PM).
November 3: Theme: Cultural exchange - learning about Sri Lanka. (Sola kulturhus 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM).
November 17: Health talk: Food and culture - mini cooking class with lentils and beans. (Sola kulturhus 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM).
December 1: Christmas workshop. (Sola kulturhus 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM).
December 15: Closing party. (Sola kulturhus 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM).
